Volunteer EMS and Fire Departments

Volunteers across the Philippines put their lives on the line every day to serve their communities. We want to help them serve. Read more about our first recipient of medical supplies.

Federation Fire Brigade Iloilo

Volunteer fire department located in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines. This volunteer department consists of nearly 150 volunteers, with most EMS volunteers being registered nurses or nursing students.

Personal contributions and donations are their only source of revenue/supply.

They re-use supplies

Not out of greed, but out of necessity. They do not have the money to resupply on disposable supplies. Bandages, nasal cannulas and neck collars are only a few of the supplies reused.

Volunteers buy their own equipment

Entry level nurses only making at most $7,000 USD annually, but volunteers buy their own medical equipment to best serve their communities.

Only enough supplies for one ambulance

Of 3 available ambulances, they only have enough supplies to fully supply 1. If one ambulance needs an AED or cardiac monitor, other ambulances would lack those supplies.
